Clinical Psychologist
Anxiety, Depression, & Adjustment Disorders
I have experience treating adults (18+) across the lifespan with a number of anxiety, depressive, or adjustment disorders. However, you don't need to meet criteria for one of these conditions to benefit from psychotherapy. I have worked with many adults coping with difficult life transitions including moving, transition to college or graduate school, marriage or separation, fertility and family planning, childbirth, job loss, illness, or loss of a loved one. I also have experience working with adults coping with medical illness, work stress, and interpersonal challenges.
I use a collaborative, evidence-based approach to treatment. Drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based techniques, we will help you develop a set of skills to better manage your symptoms and live a meaningful life in line with your personal values. Over the course of treatment, we will work together to identify and manage unhelpful thinking patterns, develop skills to act in line with your values instead of your fears, and learn new approaches to cope with overwhelming feelings.
During our time together, we will identify your unique goals, work together on a treatment plan, and consistently re-evaluate your progress. My goal
is that you learn skills to effectively manage
whatever life may throw at you, not to have you in therapy indefinitely!
